Laure-Anne D - she gave her all for France!

 
 

The meal was ambrosial: following a glass of champagne, we had
consomme froid, toast de crevettes a la Rothschild, gratin de fruits
de mer, salade Nicoise, plateau de fromage (which neither of us
touched), ile flottante. The wines, white and red , were in decanters
and neither of us knew what they were. It was marvellous.
